Woah! This next feature took about a month of on/off development (it's not super easy being a solo entrepreneur when there are walls to paint in the house...), but the attendances module is here!
The attendance module is what enables members registered to a specific program to check-in during a program session. Cloudgenda will automatically track members' attendances, and from there administrators can generate quite a bunch of fun reports. For example, you can know which members are currently participating in your program(s), how long has it been since a member didn't attend a program session, what's the average age of the members currently attending your session, and so much more.
The attendance module is out, but not yet advanced to my liking. Stay tuned as a richer set of features will be made available in a few weeks.
Hello everyone! 👋
Well, I haven't kept up the changelog updated with the latest releases, but I thought to change that and bring back the custom of publishing changelogs with every new release.
First of all, I'm no longer using a specific version of the application like in the past (i.e., 1.9.0, 1.9.1, 1.9.2, etc.) because I don't think it adds any value to end users. Instead, I will share what's new, what's improved and what's fixed.
🌟
FEATURES
- Administrators can now create groups within programs. This was a popular request from clients because this allows them to segment programs into specific groups. For example, if you have a "performance cycling" program that you're offering your members, you can segment that program into specific groups, such as "student cyclists" and "professional cyclists".
☝
IMPROVEMENTS
- I'm not sure whether this one is an improvement, but I have dropped the concept of participants. I liked the idea initially, but it added unnecessary complexity in the code, but more importantly it didn't add value to the clients. When you think about it, a participant is nothing more than a member who might or not continue using your services. You can create a custom field "type" and assign two values: "member" and "participant".
Anyhow, since it's been a few months since the last changelog, I haven't been diligent in keeping track of what was released, improved, or fix, but I hope that you can trust me when I tell you that Cloudgenda is better now than a few months ago, and I think it's going to get better. Though it's not easy to manage the development of such a complex platform as a solopreneur (one developer doing everything in the business), it is very rewarding.
Until then, may you have fun using the platform, but more importantly, may this platform serve you well. 😉
Happy New Year everyone! 🎉 🥂
Apologies for not publishing change logs more frequently. Between preparing for my judo black belt exam and catching the worse version of COVID-19 in December, my time has been quite limited. But now that that is no longer affecting me, I'm back to enhance Cloudgenda with more passion than ever.

Release Notes #011
Well, this one is quite a big release.
Version:
1.7.4
🌟FEATURES
- New PDF version of the member's invoice: the PDF version of the member's invoice has been completely redesigned. It now shows the public notes and payments received, on top of everything that was previously included in the older version of the PDF invoice.
- Programs can now be deleted: only the Account Owner or the Administrator who created the program can delete it. Furthermore, the program has to be empty before deleting it.
- Account ownership transfer is now possible: an Account Owner can now transfer the account ownership to another Administrator.
- Account Owner can delete members: this was a popular request. Only an Account Owner can delete members now.
☝ IMPROVEMENTS
- The program enrollment report now shows the total number of enrollments: when you print the PDF version of the program enrollment report, you can now see the total number of registered members and participants in the program.
- The member profile now shows public and private notes: before this, there was only public notes available for a member profile. An administrator can now write public and private notes for a member. A member can only see the public notes within the member portal.
🐞BUG FIXES
- The custom recurrence for a program fee is now properly selected: previously the recurrence period dropdown list didn't work properly when the recurrence type was set to Custom.

Release Notes #009
We are now displaying the version of Cloudgenda at the bottom of the login screen. This should help in linking a release note with a specific version of the application.
Version:
1.7.0
🌟FEATURES
- Custom field type conversion: a custom field of typetextcan now be converted to typemultiline. And vice-versa! In the future, we'll work in supporting other conversion types, but for now this one was a popular requests from our customers.
- Protected custom fields have a lock icon: To quickly dissociate protected custom fields from unprotected ones, the former types of custom fields now display a lock icon next to them (🔒). Remember that a protected custom field is equivalent to a read-only field from the point of view of the member. In other words, it's a custom field that only the administrator can change.
- New custom field types: there are two new custom field types that you might be interested in: date and multiline. A date type helps you to support date values in a standard type. A multiline custom field is just like a text type, but supports multiples lines.
☝ IMPROVEMENTS
- Custom field name are now editable: this one is another popular request. You can now rename custom fields at your heart's desire!
🌟FEATURES
- Better feedback tracking: We have switched our support and feedback management system for Canny. This system is only available for authenticated administrators directly from the dashboard. That way, we can track all requests to our users with the hope of providing a stellar customer service to them.
- Custom field groups: This was a popular request from our users. Custom fields can now be grouped! This would allow you to better organize the multitude of custom fields that you may have defined for your organization, members and participants.
- New chat support! We're always thinking about how we can make our customers' experience better every day. Over the weekend, we have integrated a live chat widget directly on the dashboard. If you have any questions regarding Cloudgenda while using the system, don't be shy to drop us a line. 😊
- Search Everywhere: You can quickly access programs, view member and participant profiles simply by searching for them by name.

Release Notes #007

Release Notes #006

- The member's primary email address is no longer unique. Many members can share the same primary email address (this is useful when we think that children can be registered under their parents' email addresses).
